My stay at Coast Plaza Hotel and Suites had its ups and downs. While I appreciated the friendly location near the beach and some good dining options, the room left much to be desired in terms of cleanliness and upkeep. Overall, it felt more like a budget option than a higher-end experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room was a bit dated and not as clean as I had hoped. There were issues like peeling wallpaper and dated furnishings, but at least the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was functional.
Service
5.0
The front desk staff was not as welcoming as I expected. It felt more abrupt than accommodating, which was disappointing.
Location
8.0
The hotel is in a great location, with plenty of nearby restaurants and beaches. It was easy to get downtown, which I really liked.
Dining
6.0
I didn't have breakfast there, but I saw some good options like French toast during a conference meal. It seemed tasty from what I could tell.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities could use some updates, but the room had a fridge and coffee maker, which was a nice touch. However, there wasn't a microwave in the room, which might have been helpful.

5.8/10

I had high hopes for my stay at Coast Plaza Hotel And Suites due to its location and promise of a nice suite, but it fell short. While the views from the room were impressive, the furniture and decor were outdated and uninviting. The staff were friendly, and I appreciated the complimentary wifi, but overall, the experience was underwhelming.

Rooms
5.0
The room I received was a bit outdated and had a distinctly unpleasant odor. Although it was somewhat roomy, the bathroom was cramped and not very clean. The furnishings felt worn and in need of replacement.
Service
6.0
The staff varied in friendliness, with some being quite helpful, but there were times when issues took longer to resolve than expected, like waiting for a bottle opener.
Location
8.0
I loved the hotel's prime location in downtown Vancouver. It was close to English Bay and Stanley Park, making it easy to explore the area and find great dining options nearby.
Dining
7.0
While I didn't indulge in much dining beyond snacks, it's great to know that there are plenty of restaurants nearby offering everything from casual eats to finer dining.
Facilities
5.0
The wifi worked well, but the pool was located far below and not inviting. Parking was accessible but felt overpriced at $18 per night.
